Automatic card payments

Effective Date: October 21, 2026

If you rent an office, a desk or a virtual office from Jilani Place Inc. and pay your monthly invoice by card, you can have each invoice charged to that card automatically. It is optional. Paying by Interac e-transfer is unchanged, has no fee, and never needs this.

How you turn it on

On your invoice's payment page, tick “Also charge this card automatically for my future invoices” and pay by card. You are agreeing to this sentence, which is shown beside the box and again on Stripe's payment page:

Charge this card automatically for my future Jilani Place invoices, on each invoice's due date, until I turn it off. Each invoice is emailed to me first with the amount and the date.

It starts only once that payment goes through. We keep a record of when you agreed, on which invoice, and the words you agreed to. Only you can turn it on. Our staff cannot turn it on for you.

When your card is charged

  • Each monthly invoice is emailed to you when it is issued, normally on the 1st. The email gives the amount, the card we will use (its brand and last four digits), and the date we will charge it.
  • We charge the card on the invoice's due date, normally the 5th, for exactly the invoice total. Until then you can still pay another way from the invoice page, and then the card is not charged.
  • The amount can change from month to month, for example when you add parking or printing, or when your agreement's rate changes. If an invoice is more than twice the amount of the invoice you turned this on with, we do not charge it automatically. We will ask you first.
  • Only an invoice whose email reached you after you turned this on is charged, so you always hear about a charge before it happens. One that was already on its way is yours to pay as usual, and its page says so. We never charge an invoice more than 10 days after its due date, and an invoice we have marked as payable by e-transfer only is never charged to a card.
  • It covers invoices for the company or person you turned it on for. If one email address receives invoices for more than one company, each company decides for itself.
  • There is no card fee. You pay the same amount as you would by e-transfer.

If the charge is declined

We try once for each invoice and never try again on our own. If your bank declines it, we email you the same day with a link to the invoice so you can pay it another way, and our desk is told. If we cannot tell whether a charge went through, we do not email you that it failed: the invoice page says the payment is in progress, and a person checks. Automatic payments stay on for your next invoice unless you turn them off. Paying late is covered by your agreement, the same as it would be without automatic payments.

Turning it off

Open any of your invoices from its email and choose “Turn off automatic payments”, or email info@jilaniplace.com and we will turn it off for you. It stops at once: nothing is charged after that, including an invoice already issued but not yet due. When your agreement with us ends, no more invoices are issued, so nothing more is charged. To use a different card, turn it off and turn it on again with the new card on your next invoice.

Your card

Your card is kept by our payment processor, Stripe, and is never seen or stored by us. We keep only its brand and last four digits, so we can tell you which card we will charge. Our Privacy Policy says more about how we handle payment information.

Questions or a charge you don't recognise

Email info@jilaniplace.com. A person reads it. If we charged you in error we refund the card. This page sits alongside our Terms of Use and your office or virtual office agreement. Where they differ, your agreement applies.
